METHODS:
3D Lettering, Phototex, Painted Graphics, Textured Finishes, Flatbed printing

An exhibition developed by Uncle Badger Bates and Justine Muller, in collaboration with the Barkandji community. It explores the relationship of community, culture, and environment through the lens of Barka, the Darling River.

We were tasked with the production and installation of graphics for the exhibition and delivered 3D lettering, wall graphics, labels, painted graphics, fabric hanging banners, object labels and didactics.

Maintaining a strict production and installation schedule was vital to ensure that the graphics were installed before the arrival of the objects and artifacts in the exhibition space.

Finishes

The 3D title lettering and theme titles were finished with a fine sand texture and then painted with an earthy gradient. We painted Ngatyi (Rainbow serpents) and wall quotes directly on the exhibition walls using mask and spray techniques to achieve an organic feel.

Seamless wall prints

Painted and printed Phototex: By utilising the same paint as the exhibition walls, we achieved the illusion of graphics being printed directly onto the wall. This method ensures a quick installation and a seamless finish.
