Auspicious: Motifs in Chinese Art" brilliantly displays China's artistic symbols, pooling treasures from iconic collections including the Chau Chak Wing Museum, the Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences, and the Art Gallery of New South Wales. Collaborating with designers, our primary deliverables encompassed hand-made clay title lettering of acrylic letters and Chinese characters, sublimated prints on cotton Voile, dual-language vinyl cut text, laser-cut freestanding frosted acrylic labels, digital prints to frosted vinyl, and the final onsite installation. One notable challenge was fashioning accurate clay letters with a reliable fixing method, a hurdle we surmounted by experimenting with various prototypes and eventually settling on lightweight solutions. The culmination of these efforts resulted in a captivating exhibition that deeply resonated with visitors, earning commendations from partnering institutions.
